The Community Garden

It is planting season! Over the late winter and early spring, Mike nursed some seeds to sprout. He shared them with the children by bringing in his sprouts and teaching us about each plant.

“Wow, a tomato plant smells like an actual tomato!”
After smelling, gently touching and learning about each plant, we took a walk over to the Community Garden. The Community Garden is a special place to the children at Westside, whether it is story time, weeding time, watering time, planting time or just a stroll through the garden.
Naomi took the liberty of opening the shed with our key and together we assessed which tools we needed.
Now for the placement of our peppers, thyme, tomatoes, mint and rosemary. Hmmm…
